This is a handmade Edwardian silver sugar tong bangle, it has an eye-catching ornate design.
The historic silver hallmarks for Sheffield 1902 have been retained and are visible on the inside edge of the bangle. (ref SP2627).
This bangle began life in Sheffield 1902 as a pair of silver sugar tongs, this bangle has been handcrafted using the complete set of tongs, simple put your hand through the middle.
A lovely Birthday, Christmas, Christening, Wedding, Confirmation or any celebratory present, or a “to me from me” treat!, quite unique and snazzy, with oodles of history and a major talking point!
The diameter of this bangle is 6.5cm, it is sprung and will therefore expand to allow the hand to go through, it then returns to it's shape once on the wrist.
Handcrafted using only hand tools on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales :-)
The bangle is presented in an green antique style leatherette case, and has the assay office details and date printed on the inside the case.
